Niraj Mehta
PhD Student, Stanford
Niraj is a PhD candidate in the Department of Chemistry. He has served as the president of the Stanford Biotech Group. He is inspired by Nature’s tremendous ability to produce molecules that modulate biological processes & treat human diseases. He works in the Sattely Lab, where he employs multi-omics approaches to understand & engineer the production of therapeutic small molecules in plants.
Niraj is a Venture fellow at Artis Ventures, maintains a keen interest in the early-stage biotech industry, and broadly enjoys learning about the pharma industry. Niraj received his BS in Chemical Engineering from UCLA. Outside of his work, he enjoys philosophy, reading and airplanes.
